Welcome to the weekly newsletter, where I share my musings on world events. I’ll also use this to identify those deserving of our collective side-eye. I’ll share thought-provoking online gems or things that make me laugh (because we need both). And sometimes, I may include personal nonsense. I hope this brightens your week and makes you think.
Nonsense
What’s Goin’ On?
Lots of drama and intrigue in the royal family, as Kate hasn’t been seen in months. It seems the photo scandals may be cracking the loyalty the British press has always had with the family. Perhaps this could be the beginning of the fall of the monarchy (which wouldn’t be a bad thing).
What the heck is going on at Boeing? Airplane safety has gone downhill after they were allowed to self-regulate.
The House passed a bill to ban TikTok. I’m not on the app and don’t care to be. However, I am concerned about the censorship of the app. I also noticed how quickly the bill moved through the House, as opposed to issues that would actually help Americans, like gun control, housing, inflation, etc. Congress’ priorities are warped.
Beyoncé’s new album is called “Act II: Cowboy Carter.” Note March 29th on your calendar.
Dolly Parton and Lodge have partnered to release a collection of cast iron.
A new Frida Kahlo documentary was released via Amazon Prime on March 14th. The story is told through her letters and diary entries.
Bless Their Hearts
A riveting thread where Princess Diana was dressed as different pies.
The current state of the British monarchy.
I wonder…
